Description

The Gobbler will fast become your favorite hunting buddy. Built on the super tough Girsan MC312 shotgun platform, the Gobbler is turkey-hunting ready with a combo camo and Cerakote® finish. It’s 24” mid bead barrel gives a fast swing for enhanced target acquisition. The Gobbler integral low mount optic makes acquiring the target easy. The Picatinny rail is machined into the receiver, a feature usually reserved for custom or expensive competition shotguns.

The integral rail offers greater strength and puts an end to lose or wobbly optics, or what is commonly referred to as “giraffe neck,” a result of having to lift your head off the gun to find the sight. The Gobbler’s field-tested fiber optic front sight is located right where your eye aligns, keeping your eye on the target, your head on the gun for immediate target acquisition. It also features common mag tube threads and common choke tube threads for plenty of aftermarket options and your choice of straight or pistol grip stock in black or camo. Gobbler models also have enhanced loading port and controls for easier field use with gloves and include wide-view red dot optics.

Won a MC312 Gobbler at a NWTF banquet in March and really like it. Really well made and seems like a reliable gun with 3″ and 3.5″ shells. I it came with a pistol grip stock and I want to purchase a standard butt stock for it but can’t find any information online. Can a standard butt stock be purchased from EAA or Girsan?

Purchased the Gobbler for spring turkey season and it performed flawlessly while patterning it before the season. I did have a hiccup while in the blind but I’m going to blame that on me and not the shotgun. I got up late and made it to the blind just as the turkeys were making their way out into the field. I realized I hadn’t put a shell in the chamber so I tried to slide the receiver back slowly and slide it forward slowly as it loaded the shell into the chamber. About ten minutes later a gobbler strutted in front of me at 30 yards and I squeezed the trigger and got a “click”. I reloaded another round slowly and quietly and pushed the receiver forward a few times, and the same thing happened, “click”. I couldn’t believe the bird was still out there strutting, clueless to the clicking sound. I reloaded slowly and softly again and got a third “Click”. Down to the last shell, I pulled the receiver back and let it go to slide it forward and quickly brought the shotgun to my shoulder, got the bird in the scope, who was now looking around in my direction after I made some unfamiliar noise and squeezed the trigger, “BOOM!”, bird down. I discovered there’s no quiet and soft way of reloading another shell into the chamber, just let it go and let it slide forward to seat the shell correctly. Don’t forget to load one in the chamber before the birds show up. The Tom ended up coming in at 28.5 pounds and was delicious!

Works flawlessly. You get a lot for the money, comes with multiple chokes and red dot. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great turkey gun
